Toyota T-HR3
Toyota's 2017 master-slave humanoid for testing remote operation and safe physical interaction.
T-HR3 was unveiled on 2017-11-21 as Toyota's third-generation humanoid platform. It is a 154 cm, 75 kg robot with 32 axes and ten fingers, controlled through a Master Maneuvering System with wearable controls, a head-mounted display and force feedback. Toyota framed it as a platform for safe physical interaction and remote maneuvering, not a product.
Our verdict
A technology demonstrator that foreshadowed today's teleoperated data-collection humanoids; no sales or deployments followed.
