AEON was launched on 2025-06-17 as a humanoid built for industry, moving on wheels instead of walking. BMW began production tasks with AEON at Plant Leipzig (Hexagon, 2026-06-12) with production deployment targeted by end of 2026; Schaeffler completed a 2025 pilot and announced on 2026-04-22 plans for at least 1,000 AEON units by 2032. Hexagon publishes no price (its president reportedly said hundreds of thousands of euros per robot, unconfirmed) and no unit counts.

Our verdict

A pragmatic industrial design with two major named customers, but the headline numbers (1,000 units by 2032) are plans and current operation involves a couple of robots.
